Join Us

As a board member with Prismatic, you work will make an enormous impact on the lives and career arcs of Chicagoland high school students. We focus on helping students understand themselves and build social emotional skills that will allow them to become successful adults in a constantly changing world.

Prismatic board members will be able to positively influence the organization through direct volunteer work with students, as well as flexing their professional skills to help drive board/organizational success.

Prismatic is a mid-sized organization with what should be considered a “working board”. That means that members will truly be able to use their expertise to have a positive impact. Expertise areas that could be useful are legal, corporate finance, marketing and sales, amongst others.

Who You Are

We’re looking for mid to senior level professionals that care about the future of Chicagoland students. Examples of current board members are: a product leader in healthcare technology, an HR leader in the investment industry and a partner at a major accounting firm. Previous board experience is welcome but not essential.

Commitment

  • Approximately 4 board meetings per year (largely held in person in Chicago)

  • Participation in committees or working groups as required

  • Willingness to attend fundraising events and work towards Prismatic’s development goals
